Angela Searles grew up in southern Maine, but now resides in North Carolina. She is married to her best friend, and is the mother of eight children. When she is not conjuring up characters or story-lines, she is busy managing her multi-cultural, blended family as a stay-at-home mom.
It was her freshman year in high school when she picked up a book written by SE Hinton. Though she didn’t know it at the time, The Outsiders would become her favorite book, and the inspiration behind her dream of writing.
The Otter Family Moves In is the first book in The Adventures of Happy Valley Glen. The Otter Family Moves In is a tale that teaches the acceptance of diversity in today’s culture. The moral of the story is from the old saying, “Never judge a book by its cover.”
